Pinellas — Bessie
Bessie is a 10-month-old female German Shepherd mix. She loves to cuddle in your lap, even though she’s too big to be a lap dog. She has a lot of puppy energy and just started basic obedience training with her foster family. She gets along with other dogs after a slow introduction, but it is recommended she be the only animal in the home. For more information, go to fluffanimalrescue.org and fill out an application.
Pasco — Herbert
Herbert is a 4-year-old male dog of unknown breed. At 80-pounds, he requires an adopter who can handle his size and strength. He sits and shakes on command, but needs work on his leash manners. He is affectionate, attentive and a quick learner. He would do best in a home without other pets or small children. For more information, call Pasco County Animal Services at 813-929-1212.
Hernando — Milo
Milo is a 4-year-old male Catahoula mix. He was adopted and returned because he doesn’t get along with livestock and has a problem sharing food with other dogs. He gets along well with people and children, but will require training to get over his over possessiveness of food. He is currently working on basic commands and learns quickly. He would benefit from regular exercise and a fenced yard. For more information, call Hernando County Animal Services at 352-796-5062.
Manatee — Choo Choo
Choo Choo is a 3-year-old mixed breed male dog. He is smart, active and loving. Choo Choo would do best in a home where he can get a lot of exercise and mental stimulation. After gaining his trust, he will quickly become your best friend. For more information, email [email protected].
Hillsborough — Pirate
Pirate is a 1-year-old male hound mix. He’s great on a leash, adores the outdoors, tennis balls and toys. He gets along great with other dogs, and is being introduced to cats. Because he’s over 60-pounds, he would do best with older children. Pirate is housebroken, sleeps in a crate at night and has had basic obedience training.
