Duffield Basis donates $2M to guidance fire relief for persons, animals

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — An Incline Village nonprofit has made a sizeable donation to the Nevada Red Cross to support western wildfire aid for men and women and pets affected by fires.

The Dave & Cheryl Duffield Basis donated $2 million to help the Red Cross’ disaster response mission, Crimson Cross officers announced on Wednesday.

This is the initial donation to Purple Cross from the Duffield Basis and consists of:

— $1 million to fund the Purple Cross Western Wildfire response to help individuals and their animals who have been impacted by the blazes, together with domestic pets

— $1 million to aid ongoing nearby disaster relief responses and programs in the Red ross Utah/Nevada Area
