Kash, 2, is a handsome 47-pound brindle with white pit bull-type mix. At the shelter he is very motivated by and playful with toys, staff notes, and has lots of energy. Zoey, 2, lived with five children ages 5 to 13 and loves cuddles, belly rubs and having her back scratched, said her former owner, who could not continue to keep her where they lived. She has done well with people at the shelter, although staff noted she was wary of other dogs and would do best as the only dog in her new home.

Surely someone longs for a gentle companion? Fiona certainly does. Like all cats who are at least 9 years old, Fiona’s adoption fees are waived.
